Austin Lee is an actor located in the Twin Cities. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a BA in Theatre. His recent projects include "Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet" at Lakeshore Players Theatre, "The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow", a radio play that aired on KLBB Radio, and a play he is writing titled Blood Debt, which will premiere at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in August 2017.
Austin sees theatre as a unique and powerful art with an undeniable impact on history. In a society with constant distractions from reality through use of smartphones and other escapist technology, Austin believes contemporary theatre should help audiences embrace reality, and sometimes its darker, unnoticed aspects. He feels that audiences must not only recognize, but also experience the overarching message in a play so they may apply it to their everyday lives having benefited on an intellectual or spiritual level that can never be achieved by other means of entertainment.
